2026 SRC President Statement: $4 Million of Your Money Spent on You!

Statement from 2026 SRC President Bailey Anderson

Hello WSU Students! My name is Bailey, and I’m your Student Representative Council President!

As a key feature of the transition to the Student Union (SU), it is now a legal requirement that over $4 million dollars of SSAF be controlled by the SU. This means that now this student money will be spent by students for students!

This transition is no easy task, but my team and I are ready to continue delivering! This means finalising and establishing the SRC. Including the Clubs and Activities Sub-Committee, which will finally give clubs a seat at the table on decisions that matter to their members.

Food, poverty, and cost of living are the defining issues on campus! That’s why we are beginning the process to establish student-run restaurants on campus. Offering healthier meals at cheaper prices and employment opportunities on campus!

These are the issues that students expect action on, and we are delivering! If you want to be a part of these major reforms, feel free to reach out via president@westernsrc.org, or for more info on who we are and what we’re doing, check out the Western Sydney Student Union website!
