Meet the wizards behind the publication
Sahla Faleel is a final year business student and our resident Marketing Officer since 2023. Majoring in marketing allows her to express her creative interests across media and journalism that also play into her role at WSUP News. Sahla is also an avid bookworm and has an extensive social media marketing portfolio for apparel and retail.

Nataša Aster-Stater is an editor for W’SUP News, and became Director of Student Publications in July 2024. She is studying for a Bachelor of Communication at Western Sydney University, with an aspiration to be a journalist. She is also a member of several social clubs on campus, such as the WSU Book Club, where she enjoys reading and discussing novels and authors with other students. She enjoys writing articles, interviewing people, and telling their stories. She was appointed a WestWords Academian for 2024. She was the winner of the adult category for Blacktown in the Living Stories Western Sydney Writing Prize 2024.

Eugenia Kourkoutas is an emerging editor studying a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Cultural and Social Analysis and Social Anthropology. Within this degree, Eugenia has gained a multitude of experience in researching and analysing our everyday world and social interactions in order to addressing key issues occurring within our social climate today through investigative articles. Eugenia is also the proud recipient of the 2023 Deans List Award and is aspiring to become a feature writing journalist in the near future.

Abbie is proudly the inaugural recipient of the Pasifika Achievement To Higher Education (PATHE) Scholarship. Journalism allows Abbie to explore a broad range of interests like history, literature, law, music, social justice, fashion, social media commentary and lifestyle through storytelling and investigative reporting. When she's not writing you can find her attending live music events and finding the best matcha + thrifting spots. Her hot take is that Charli XCX is more famous than Taylor Swift.
