By Melissa Swann:

The Western Sydney University Nerdfighters are holding a 24-hour Gaming Marathon at The Cottage on Werrington South during stuvac!

Who are the WSU Nerdfighters?

We are a club for self-professed Nerds, based at Kingswood and Werrington campus but also open to students of all campuses! We hold monthly events at Kingswood campus, everything from board game nights to themed parties (check out our upcoming Star Wars Night on the 4th of May, more details on our Facebook pages!). We also organise an annual charity event – last year we raised nearly $1,000 for Westmead Children’s Hospital. This year we’re raising funds for Starlight Children’s Foundation!

Game Hard Or Go Home!

This year during the stuvac break, the Nerdfighters are putting on a massive 24-hour gaming marathon in support of the Starlight Children’s Foundation. Free food and games will be provided, from console gaming to tabletop and card games! As well as a polaroid booth.

Here’s what you need to know.

When: 12pm Thursday June 2nd to 12pm Friday June 3rd

Where: The Cottage on Werrington South campus (BN.G.01)

How much: Entry fees are based on how hard you think you can game!

Up to 3hrs – $5
Up to 6hrs – $10
Up to 12hrs – $15

Additional donations are always welcome!

We will also be selling fundraising chocolates around campus and on the night, so if you spot one of our members around campus feel free to purchase a chocolate.
