The pandemic

As time trickles away,

Moments like these turn into memories.

Distant, but not forgotten.

There’s still hope for a new day,

When we can step outside once again-

And explore the world, like we used to before.

Discover new places, new people, and culture together.

And just as each drop of water fades like a forgotten memory

– we will enjoy each moment

And slowly see the darkness turn back into light.

There’s still hope on this road ahead,

And although it has taken a year away from us,

We will meet our loved ones again soon – both you and me.

Until then, please. Don’t give up. Hold on.

For just as the sun does every day – we will rise again together.
