Dear all WSU’s dog lovers: if you missed the previous Dog Café sessions held last month- fear not, they are coming back this September!
The Dog Café program was founded and organised by researchers from the School of Health Science at Western Sydney University. They partnered with PAWS Pet Therapy, a NSW-based organisation that trains, volunteers and provides animal-therapy services.
Since opening in June, there have been several Dog Cafes held in Campbelltown, Parramatta South and Kingswood campuses every month. Students will have the chance to play and relax with well-trained fluffy pals while enjoying free drinks and snacks provided.
The latest Dog Café was held this August at Campbelltown campus, outdoors and accessible for students and staff to play with the furry friends. During this hour and a half session, four-year-old Spike and six-year-old Bunny joined – and it’s safe to say they were excited to receive such warm welcome from students and staffs who played with them!
If you are looking forward to temporarily drop the books, wind-down and pat some dogs, all without having to leave the campus; Join the next session on 17th September in Campbelltown campus, outside building 16. Later this month, there will be more Dog Cafes at the Kingswood and Nirimba campuses!
